I work across black-and-white 35mm film, digital color, and digital black-and-white. I'm drawn to the spaces in between — they invite us to slow down, pay attention, and discover meaning in what's often overlooked. To me, storytelling isn't only about destinations, defining moments, or answers — it's also about the spaces that connect them, and the space that invites us in.

Originally from Tokyo, I moved a lot in my childhood in Japan, then moved to Los Angeles to study design, and I now live in Seattle. That movement — between cities, cultures, and languages — shows up in the work: a way of seeing that's always slightly co-exist, always translating one place through another.

Beyond photography, my visual storytelling extends into design. My practice spans UI and graphic design, interaction, brand identity development, and transmedia design — across digital, print, dimensional, and time-based media. Design is not just visual — it's an experience, and every decision/moments holds meaning. My aim is to invite my audience into my work and spark emotion in both my photography and design.
